Amidst the hustle and bustle of this life with all the commitments that we get involved in, do you ever get philosophical and reflect on what this life is all about?
Let us explore and think about three main topics to maybe help us understand this life a little better.
Is your purpose in this life about….
…being the most popular student in school?
…having the most trophies for a sport?
…going to the most prestigious college?
…being involved in as many activities as you can to fill your time?
…wearing designer clothes?
…driving an expensive car?
…making a million dollars before we are 30 years old?
Some people may say yes to that question, but that is not how I see it.
I propose that the purpose of each of our lives on this earth is about….
….being a carrier of the image of God to all
….spending time with God, the beginning of eternity, right here and now
….glorifying God in all we do and say
Is your identity in this life about….
…..what job you eventually end up with?
…..whether you are single or married?
…..tied to whether you have children or not?
Some people may say yes to that question, but that is not how I see it.
I propose that your identity in this life is about…
…being a child of the King
…knowing that Jesus died for you
…knowing the God sees you as perfect because of Jesus
Is your calling in this life limited to…
…being a spouse or single person?
…the term given to your career?
….taking care of a family?
Some people may say yes to that question, but that is not how I see it.
I propose that your calling in this life is about….
…using the unique gifts that God has given you
…furthering God’s kingdom each day by the way you live
…sharing good works because of His love in your life
In every season of your life,
life a purposeful life….
live each day on purpose….
with purpose…..
knowing your true identity…
sharing God’s calling for your life~

In Him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will, in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. –Ephesians 1:11-12 (NIV)
The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O LORD, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands. –Psalm 138:8 (ESV)
