Gazing upon the mighty mountains recently in Estes Park, CO while at a Christian dude ranch for a week, was truly a breathtaking, captivating sight. Yes, the sight was like a little piece of heaven on earth~and just as powerful as a sunset on the ocean waters equating, for me personally, a third holy place in my life.
When viewing the spectacular beauty of nature that God in His infinite providence has created, it was so peaceful. As I sat with this view of the mountains so great and majestic, the sun’s radiance beating down and the wind blowing, it was a Trinity experience~Father (the mountain), Son (the Sun), Holy Spirit (the wind).
This was my first experience soaking in the close proximity of the mighty mountains.
I kept gravitating back to the view of the majestic mountains, some with patches of snow even in June, planting myself at one of the chairs while viewing the cross in the foreground. Observing these mammoth creations, one can’t help but remember and know that God’s love for each of us reaches far beyond.
The Mighty Mountains made me reflect more about God….
Majestic is our God; His majesty is even greater than the tallest mountain.
In our lives God is in charge of ALL of our mountains!
Goodness and unconditional love has our God for us.
How God is greater than the biggest, steepest, roughest mountain in our life!
The heavens, earth, stars, seas, mountains and plains are all made by our great God.
You can never outdo our God in power.
Mighty in Power is our God!
Our God made us even more beautiful than these mountains.
Undeniably God’s Presence can be felt and seen in the mountains.
Need to be still and know that He is God of all.
The greatest of all God’s creation is you and me!
Awe-struck of all of God’s wonderful provisions in our life.
Infinite is God’s grace and mercy that He bestows on us, His children.
Near in Spirit is our God.
Someday we will see our mighty and majestic God face to face!
I can sure relate to this wall hanging that was in our cabin! 🙂
Where in nature have you experienced God’s Presence? Please feel free to share in the comment section below; I look forward to hearing your story!
Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the ocean depths. You care for people and animals alike, O LORD. –Psalm 36:6 (NLT)
You have always been God–long before the birth of the mountains, even before you created the earth and the world. –Psalm 90:2 (CEV)
Just as Jerusalem is protected by mountains on every side, the LORD protects his people by holding them in his arms now and forever. –Psalm 125:2 (CEV)
I believe I can experience God’s presence in a multitude of environments. I think it is easier for me to feel in His presence when at the beach or at a lake, but I can just as easily find Him at home or in my neighborhood – especially when I see others doing works of kindness.
Thank you so much for sharing those ways of seeing God, Sandy! I like how you feel God’s presence when others show kindness..a way I had not thought about but is great truth! Sweet blessings to you, my friend!
