It was a simple statement a friend shared over breakfast one day that sparked me to ponder the truth of those words more. Sharing that thought with you has been on my radar for a few months now! Continue reading “THE LASTS”

This summer, while on vacation with my family, I conquered something that was very difficult for me. On a much smaller scale I also did a similar activity this past weekend as well.
It produces sweaty hands and fear within me as well as my mind creates doubt that all will be okay. The “what if’s” start running through my mind.
I imagine you might have figured out what my issue is but if not~~

That quote is something that my mother frequently says yet something I have always wrestled with kind of disagreeing with it. I will admit just recently, much as I dislike it, I have conceded that indeed that is truth and it is okay. Continue reading “EVERYTHING CHANGES”
As I was peering into the lovely blue/green water with the soft, white sand beneath my feet recently at a beach, it took me a few days to observe that every now and then a few fish would be swimming by my legs! They never brushed against me so I did not realize they were right there.
The day I finally noticed it, first a yellow and black striped fish swam by and then two sun fish. Later in the week there were schools of fish finding their way in the water. The thought of those fish being there intrigued me to think more about God and His infinite vastness.

My dear readers~
Welcome to my 200th post this week! I think it quite fitting that “The Mountain Top” is the inspiration for this milestone. A special thank you for reading, your ongoing support and encouragement as I continue to express weekly what is in my heart sharing about our great God!
This summer afforded me the surprise opportunity of having a true mountain top experience, (pun intended, as you will see) which granted me a glimpse of what a slice of heaven on earth is like!
Challenging myself to do new and different things is something I try to be open to lately. For me, I find this helps me grow as a person, expanding my horizons, and builds my confidence knowing I am capable of doing things that at first may seem impossible.
What is really powerful is when others may step in and cheer you on lending a little extra encouragement when you need it most.
While at a Christian dude ranch in June, I figured I had to go out of my comfort zone and attempt riding a horse at least once. After all, a few years back my first time riding a horse was at Virginia Beach and last year I did survive a horse ride in the hills of Curacao though I was scared to do so! Gazing upon the mighty mountains recently in Estes Park, CO while at a Christian dude ranch for a week, was truly a breathtaking, captivating sight. Yes, the sight was like a little piece of heaven on earth~and just as powerful as a sunset on the ocean waters equating, for me personally, a third holy place in my life. How many times do we dwell on or complain about the “unfair” things that we see happening in our lives…whether big or little instances?
Why is it that we think everything should be “fair” with only good things occurring?
Have you ever viewed that these “unfair” things might actually be teaching us something greater? Maybe they are part of a divine plan.
My sharing this week is a result of being inspired through another sermon that I recently heard. May you, too, be inspired through the thoughts shared here…. Continue reading “F.A.I.R.”
There seemed to be a lot of hustle and bustle all around as I was meeting a friend at Dunkin donuts on National Donut day. I stepped to the far side, glancing at my phone, while waiting for my order to be prepared.
I heard the cashier greet the next customer with the usual, “Hello~What can I get for you today?”
It was kind of strange that suddenly it seemed that everything seemed quieter and I noticed there was no usual audible response; instead there was just deafening silence. Glancing at the customer, I pieced together that he was mute. Continue reading “IN THE SILENCE”
